CAS-FEST 2014

The 2014 Circuits and Systems Society Forum on Emerging and Selected Topics (CAS-FEST) event will be the fifth event in the series organized by IEEE CAS Society and will be held during June 1st – 5th 2014, in conjunction with ISCAS 2014, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, Australia. The goal of this forum is to bring an emerging topic for researchers to exchange state-of-the-art development and future ideas together. The 2014 CAS-FEST aims to provide a timely discussion on “Memristive devices, circuits, systems and applications“.

Neuromorphic models, circuits, and emerging nano-technologies for real-time neural processing systems

Living Machines is holding its 2nd conference in London in July/August 2013. This new international conference is targeted at the intersection of research on novel life-like technologies inspired by the scientific investigation of biological systems—biomimetics, and research that seeks to interface biological and artificial systems to create biohybrid systems. We seek to highlight the most exciting international research in both of these fields united by theme of “Living Machines”.

CHIST-ERA Project Seminar 2013

The purpose of this project seminar is to ensure the follow-up of projects funded through CHIST-ERA calls and to promote interaction among them. It will gather researchers from the project partners, CHIST-ERA experts and representatives from the funding organisations. The Conference is split in two days. The projects selected during the call 2010 & 2011 are presented on day 1 and day 2, respectively. The projects are pooled by call sub-topics.

Building Bridges to Build Brains Meeting

The eFutures Building Bridges to Build Brains Meeting was held in Edinburgh in November. The aim of the meeting was to bring people from the Computational Neuroscience (http://neuroinformatics.org.uk), Neuromorphic Hardware and Robotics communities together to tackle key problems and and forge new cross-disciplinary collaborations. More than 60 delegates were treated to two days of high quality presentations and a plethora of networking opportunities including an excellent poster session.
